Donation receipts for 2015

Wondering about your donation receipts for your 2015 tax return? There are two processes:

1. If you wrote your cheque to 'North Okanagan-Shuswap NDP, then Nick Hodge, financial agent for the riding association in 2015, is responsible for issuing your donation receipt. They have been mailed, but if you haven't received it yet, please contact him by email at nhodge at mofp.ca.

2. If you wrote your donation cheque to the Jacqui Gingras Campaign or Kathy Porter, Official Agent, (likely during the campaign) then Kathy Porter is responsible for issuing your donation receipt. Please contact her, or the riding association president Kim Sinclair if you have any questions or concerns.

AGM 2015

Notices have been mailed to local members of the NDP of our upcoming AGM. Thanks to the crew for another 2 hour intensive envelope stuffing session. One of those little jobs that goes on regardless of the results of the last election.

Everyone is welcome to join us at the AGM. Only current, and lapsed members who have renewed will be able to vote, however.

North Okanagan-Shuswap AGM

Saturday December 5th, 2015

 Odd Fellows Hall, Armstrong
 1:30 pm: meet and visit
 2 pm: start of meeting

Come out and meet your fellow supporters; enjoy coffee and sandwiches. Elect your next Executive Committee.

President's thoughts (Alice Brown):

It was an interesting year to be President; so much more needs to be done in an election year. There were many challenges, offices to be rented, phones to be hooked up , and the many volunteers that make a successful campaign. Now, we pass on the torch and look forward to the next campaign, new friends and good times.

Candidate's thoughts (Jacqui Gingras)

We started this campaign even before I was nominated as the candidate. We knew it was going to be a long journey to bring about a change. Once the writ was dropped on August 2, the official campaign began in earnest and it was a very enlightening experience. We knocked on many doors, welcomed several NDP MPs including Libby Davies, Peter Julian, and Randall Garrison and had two offices buzzing with volunteer activity. Our team underwent several changes over the course of the campaign and everyone worked incredibly hard to create a campaign of which we could be proud. And we were.

Despite our best efforts, we were defeated. While the results were not what we expected, we were privileged to meet so many wonderful people and groups. We look forward to seeing how the next campaign unfolds.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to this effort.
